A Night to Remember: The 2024 Shared Table Dinner in Old Town Lewisville
In the heart of Old Town Lewisville, under the soft glow of café lights, another unforgettable evening unfolded for the annual Shared Table dinner organized by the Old Town Business Association Board. This cherished event once again brought together local vendors, business owners, and community members for a night of connection, great food, and live music.
Wayne Ferguson Plaza was transformed into an intimate gathering space, thanks to the golden twinkle of lights provided by Mark Casteel, a local Lewisville firefighter and owner of Fire House Christmas Lights. The crisp autumn air made the evening even cozier as guests bundled up, clinked glasses, and shared in the joy of being together.
This year’s menu, carefully curated by some of Old Town’s finest, offered an incredible culinary experience. Guests were treated to a feast that showcased the talents of local chefs, complemented by signature craft cocktails from Bendt Distilling Co. as they arrived and enjoyed the night. From the first bite to the last sip, every dish reflected the creativity and heart of our community’s beloved restaurants and artisans.
Adding to the evening’s charm, the board enlisted the creative talents of Deborah, one of our own, to bring a unique seasonal touch to the tables. Instead of traditional florals, she adorned the space with her beautifully crafted, chinoiserie-style fabric-covered pumpkins, which she designs and sells locally. These elegant, fall-themed pieces added warmth and character to the setting, creating a festive yet sophisticated atmosphere that perfectly complemented the evening.
The magic of Shared Table wouldn’t be complete without incredible music, and this year, we were honored to have Radu Jon Cernat, an internationally acclaimed musician, singer, DJ, multi-instrumentalist, music producer, and remixer. Known as The Violin Guy, Radu’s electrifying performance blended classical elegance with modern beats, filling the plaza with an energy that set the perfect backdrop for conversation, connection, and unforgettable moments.
Beyond the food and festivities, the heart of this event lies in the people who make it happen. A massive thank you goes to the Lewisville High School Farmers—students, parents, and teachers—who handled setup, takedown, and serving duties with incredible dedication. Special recognition goes to the LHS baseball, football, and wrestling teams, drill team, and student council for their hard work behind the scenes. Their efforts ensured the night was seamless, and we are beyond grateful for their contributions.
As the evening came to a close, guests left with full hearts, unforgettable memories, and some fantastic swag bags courtesy of Kris-Tees. The Shared Table dinner is more than just a meal—it’s a celebration of community, collaboration, and the unique charm that makes Old Town Lewisville feel like home.
To our incredible board members and their supportive husbands, your dedication and teamwork made this event a success. Thank you for ensuring everything was perfect from start to finish.
And, of course, we extend our deepest appreciation to our 2024 Sponsors, especially the City of Lewisville, for their continued support of our local businesses and entrepreneurs. Please take a moment to support these outstanding local businesses that help make events like this possible!
