Josh + Caroline | Watters Creek Village Elopement
Josh + Caroline | A Thursday Elopement at Watters Creek
Some wedding days come wrapped in details and timelines, guest lists and centerpieces. And then… there are days like this. The kind that unfold with ease, carried only by love, laughter, and the people who mean the most.
Josh and Caroline’s Thursday evening elopement at Watters Creek was the very definition of soul-soothing simplicity.
There was no big production. No venue to rush to. No rigid schedule. Just the two of them, a place they love, and a crew of family and friends gathered on the lawn to witness something beautiful. They walked out to the edge of the creek—just steps from where they live—to say “I do” under the trees and soft spring breeze.
Caroline, who practically radiated joy, wore a dress she made with her own two hands (yes, you read that right—she made her own wedding dress!). The delicate lace and vintage length suited her perfectly. And Josh? That grin never left his face. From the moment he saw her, it was all heart eyes and quiet pride.
Their celebration was lighthearted and joyful. Guests cheered, hugged, and danced in a semi-circle around the newlyweds. Friends wrapped them up in love, and you could tell—this wasn’t just a marriage. It was a moment for a whole community of people who care deeply for them both.
We took portraits along the stone paths, in front of the little waterfall, and among the trees that line the walking trail—each one a picture of peace and happiness. And as the sun started to dip, Josh and Caroline headed up to their own back patio for the final photo of the night, pup in hand, beaming from ear to ear.
What a perfect way to end the evening: the start of forever, celebrated at home, with a dog and a dream.
A huge thank you to Watters Creek Village for being so kind and allowing Josh and Caroline to hold this special moment in a place they love so dearly. And to The Lion & Crown Public House for hosting their cozy, laughter-filled reception—your hospitality helped make the evening unforgettable.
